Hey there y'all. Since TB is about 7ft low right now how's navigation in the boat Lanes? Any hazard's where it's normally safe to run? Never fished this lake when it was low so this should be interesting.

Most of my experience on Toledo at low water levels has been on the south end of the lake around Housen and Six Mile areas. Never had any issues staying in the middle of the boat lanes between the tree lines and being observant for any log floaters that may be in the lanes. I recommend driving slower and paying close attention. Only time I ever hit anything was when lake was full and a log was in the boat lane partially submerged. I always felt more comfortable with lower water because I could see most of the stumps.

I agree with the above. I think most boat lanes are good to run until u reach 10 ft low. There are a few around 1215 that are prolly close to being dry. Of course always pay attention to potential floaters or debris in the boat lanes.

Hopefully they get some of this water.

Good advice posted above. The only thing that I would add is that the Texas marker buoys are not always positioned correctly and some may be missing. If you have HB electronics, the Lakemaster map is invaluable on that lake.

Good luck.

If you have any concerns and are running north south, I'd suggest running the red and greens that denote the boundary. They are the truest Lane on the lake and wide. As mentioned, the further you go back into the creeks the sketchier the lane will get. I know some tx markers used to be missing from Palo gaucho up to the bridge.

I’m on the lake 4 or 5 days a week and don’t trust the markers. If you have lakemaster mapping follow that.

Thanks guys.... trying not to lose a lower unit thumb

I have a buddy who loves fishing TB when it's low. He gets all gitty. I've only fished it near pool. Don't think I'll be running up any creeks this time

The fishing is tough right now but I did catch a 7 pounder yesterday evening.
