With the high likelihood of Rayburn getting a fair amount of rain in the next few days, what will that do to the fishing this weekend?

Really? Why won’t it rise much? Is it because it’s such a big lake?

It has to be in right spot for it to rise and with everything so dry a lot will soak in to the ground. It should kick the fall pattern in gear though

Has to rain a lot over the Angelina, attoyac, ayish watersheds for Rayburn to rise.

Maybe y’all have seen a different forecast than I have... I see the potential for up to 10” of rain around Rayburn with wide spread flooding...

Needs to be just a little more north to have a big impact. It can rain right on Rayburn and not effect it to much but the same rain on the small watershed the lake has can make a big impact. It may rise some though. 1' would make for a sweet frog bite for sure

Our local weather station has said 6-8" possible so 10" is not of the realm of possibilities.

It would depend on where it actually hits.

If that's the forecast it definitely won't get much. The watershed is literally due north of the lake. The rain on top of the lake does nothing. It needs to be north from the lake extending 20-30 miles+. That forecast had most going into the neches river. I will say this though, if the neches and Beaumont area flood, Rayburn has to hold everything that comes in until the neches goes down at Beaumont. That's the only thing that help Rayburn rise.

We have only gotten about a 1/2" here in Nacogdoches today.

I heard reports of Hemphill getting upwards of 11" already but that will not help Rayburn at all.

Like Jarrett said it will only go in the Neches or the Angelina (below Rayburn) and that would only help Dam B.

Just really depends on the rain trains over the right area. I saw a euro model earlier that had upwards of 15-18" north of nacogdoches to Shreveport. If that happens, it'll come up certainly

That euro model is a joke. It may get a couple 2-3 inches at best and the northern end maybe less my best buses and I’m a really bad weather man!"

Thanks, Billy

I don't know. New forecast has it only moving 2-3 mph with highest totals north of nacogdoches

Choot heard 59 is closed around Cleveland this morning, that will block me from making the event. Hopefully that will clear out.
