Think about this. Its funny how the NFL works. Tony couldnt stay healthy for just a couple more years. With this team he could have very well went out like Elway did. Remember, Elway was labeled couldnt win the big one for years.
I think about it all the time...it's part of my Dakota issue

If they continue to have offensive success this season we will see a 1 and done from Kellen Moore. He will be a HC somewhere next season.

what happened the year they went 13-3 with Tony? Can't remember why they bowed out. Was that the Seattle fumble on the extra point? I guess you could blame that loss on Tony if you like, that is if everyone else on that team played perfect. If you're going to blame the QB for all the losses then give them the credit for all the wins and they had 13 of them that year.

Dallas was not 13-3 in that Seattle game, otherwise they would not have been on the road. I believe it was Tony's 1st full year to start and there was no way in hell he should have been holding on extra points.

Coach Bro proved this point by getting the Arizona job. I’m not sure Kellen Moore would get a head job next year but soon if the offense stays productive. From the NFL, down to the NCAA and most don’t know this but even at the HS level OC’s get hired. I’d go out on a limb and say 75% of HC’s at all 3 levels are offensive guys. Very few DC’s get head coaching jobs because at every level the higher ups want points on the board because that puts arses in the seats.

Impressed with the cows win this week. Even my friends who are cows fans were scared to give the +6 to Wash. The cows will be 4-0 to start the season. Lucky break to catch N.O. with no Breeze. Wish H-Town would have been as lucky. Nice win in the division.

Are you saying this would be the case for any 1st year OC that has success, or is there something special with Moore or the Cowboys? Its not like he installed a new offense, it is the same offense/plays with more disguise, maybe few more plays of his own, he is showing he can call plays and mix it up. Big jump tho going to HC and leading 53 men, I mean going to OC was a big jump for him.

There is a youth movement of offensive coaches becoming HCs.

I think Jerrah will work to keep KM here. Right now though there is not enough body of evidence for teams to grab KM. Let's revisit this in December or January. I seem to remember this same fear being voiced about losing Richard last year and after the LAR debacle I'd guess his stock is down.
I'll be interested to see how the KM vs Belicheat meeting goes.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Belichick is a defensive coach, don't know if that counts or not.
