Fished a small club tourney Sat. There was a high school tourney out there as well but I never had any issues and several of the teams I fished near were very cordial and we were all complaining about the HEAT lol!! Started off throwing a chatterbait around some shallow( <2') grass. Wind was blowing in on it so that seemed to help. Caught 3 keepers and 1 non-keeper doing that pretty quick. Started hopping around riprap/rocky points(seemed like boats were on all of them) all along the southern shoreline including the dam and managed to catch 2 more keepers on a bream colored 1.5 crank along with prob 10 bass barely bigger than the crank itself. Ran a bunch of stuff I liked up in hurricane but didn't work just 1 non keeper. Hit up that shallow grassy spot again and caught 2 non keepers and had a few blowups on a frog but didn't connect. Fished some deep(10-25') off shore stuff for around 2 hrs cranking and c-rigging but no luck there though I was marking fish. Was TRYING to catch that 7lb13oz bass again!! Finally went back to bank beating with the chatterbait up in the shade and caught my only cull fish of the day(upgraded about 1.5lbs) and several non keepers. Should have kept at that I guess and not fished deep lol! Overall had the 6 keeper fish and prob 15 non keepers on the day. Not much weight just 10.7lbs but did end up 4th overall(12ish lbs won it) and one of 2 limits brought in by our guys. Fun lake to fish and seeing all those smaller bass means next year they should be keeper sized!! If you want to just catch fish go throw a squarebill or bandit 200 on the riprap down south. Water temps were 84* to start and around 89* when the tourney was over.

Fished the Northside today. I have to agree with the square bill bite is the best they would short strike the spinnerbait. Lots of white bass schooled up in the creek channel that look like largemouth on the graph. Fresh coontail grass north of the bridge in the flats but the fishing still seems to be better on the south side of the lake in that 15ft range.
