They have a park and ramp. Plus you could go to the marina and slide off there. I seen them unload behind the marina several times for tournaments.

Twin Covess Park is $10 for a non-resident day pass. They have a nice kayak dock with slide so you can launch directly from the dock. There is paved parking and a covered pavilion near the kayak dock. Alternatively, you can launch from the boat ramp that is past the cabins. Both will keep you out of the boat lane in/out of the marina.

It's a nice park and I feel it's well worth the $10 pass. If I was a Flower Mound resident, I would probably buy an annual pass. https://www.flower-mound.com/1394/Twin-Coves-Park-and-Campground

As noted above you can launch at Twin Coves. I use the boat ramp because it is easier for me to take out there than at the kayak launch ramp. You can also go to Murrell Park for free and paddle to Twin Coves. About a 10 minute paddle for me.

Another option is to enter Murrell Park for free and drive over toward the Rockin S restaurant and launch from beside the Marina. You can paddle to the right and circle around the Marina and come out into the open portion of Twin Coves.

The entire cove is a “No Wake” zone. Just be aware that everyone’s definition of “No Wake” is a little different. Some people think it means “Not Up on Plane.” Most of the boat traffic is going from the Marina out to open water or coming back in. Treat all boats going out or coming in as distracted drivers. The wake board boats are trying to connect their cell phone to their boat’s Bluetooth stereo system and then adjust their bass so the entire cove can enjoy their music selection. The big yachts are pouring a round of drinks before hitting the open water. The bass boats are glued to their 12” fish finder screens and adjusting their GPS view. The sail boats are raising and adjusting their sails. Even the cute girls in the rental kayaks are focused on keeping their new puppy from jumping out and going for a swim. I hate to say it but the jet skiers seem to be the only ones paying attention to what’s in front of them. As a fellow kayaker and resident of Flower Mound, I welcome you to come out and join the circus.

Possibly toward the end of October. This weeked I'm going to hit a new spot (new to me) on Lewisville... Then I have weekend plans for the next two weeks.

If you head out there, don't be scared to head deep into the cove. The water gets real skinny, but its relatively deep. I believe it used to be a seasonal creek. I've done pretty good back there at times.
