Once again, just because you can’t fish doesn’t mean that someone else isn’t whackin.

Like Zach said - you need to burn a lot of fuel this time of year. We're covering a lot of water and you have a small window of opportunity.

Exactly. You have to do a lot of searching to put numbers in the boat. Just because they are ganged up on a spot doesn't always mean you can get them to bite, but Lake Fork guides know the best places to find them. Its what they do.

Fishing on tidal water down in Louisiana we had a 30 minute to 1 hour window to catch all 5 of our tournament fish. To me that is exactly how Fork fishes in the summer or middle winter. You just have to be patient and wait for them to turn on.

I never said it was only me. Why don't you meet me at Fork one weekend this month and show me how to catch 30 bass in a day. Can you do that? We can take my boat, I will pay for all the gas and go where ever you want to fish out there, you just tell me where and what to throw. I will even buy you lunch if you want to take a break from catching, then we go back out and whack them some more. I am always open to learning how to put more fish in the boat..

Still no name of the "buddy-guide" that is whackin them out there??

What if someone hires a guide out there and they have a good time but don't catch 20-30 bass that day. The client may be disappointed because he read on here where some unnamed guide is whackin them out there. That puts a lot of unreasonable pressure on all the guides out there to make a statement like he did. It is the heat of the summer and that is just how fishing is on many lakes around the area, not just Fork. I hire a guide to learn something new about the lake or some technique I haven't tried and just have a good time, catching fish is just a bonus. I have been on quite a few guide trips with several different guides and all of them have been good.

I see guides catch 50 a day often but I don't expect them to put clients on 50 every trip. Chill out

I have been with some at Fork and we did just that, just not during the heat of the summer unless you get into schooling bass.

Go shallow....Unless you absolutely just want to fish deep you may want try fishing shallow in the creeks. Look for birds (Egrets, Herrons and Pelicans) on the bank and of course presence of shad visually and with your electronics. May not catch the biggest fish in the lake but you will get bit and on any given day still have the opportunity at a tank. Posted this video recently and it may help in the search. Good fishing!

Hey BigDozer, your "buddy-guide" that is catching 20-30 bass per day could be booked every day before the Big Bass Splash this weekend if you would just give up his name. Help your "buddy" out. Im sure he would appreciate that.
