Ok fishing at my favorite lake again for catfish. So i have three holes i bait year around and catch fish on in 20 -25 feet deep water. I fished all three and caught only small fish. So i turn on my graph and see most of the fish are in 30 -35 feet of water. I find a tree in 33 foot deep water near a creek and throw out a few scoops of range cubes. Then drop in the best bait known by me and i have tried them all. Stubby's is the best! So i catch a half dozen catfish over 4 lbs each. So in my 5 hour trip yesterday i end up filleting 15 catfish which is enough for my fishing partner and i to eat fish two times each. 15 fish is no grest success but i was happy i was able to locate some larger fish for the fryer. I know some guys who dont eat catfish because they taste like mud or something else and yes you guys are ignorant. So i guess the moral to this is to bait up with stubby's and keep fishing.

I know I sound like a broken record about the Stubby’s bait and all, BUT....it is the deal! We are gonna have to quit talking about meeting up and just meet up one day! Thanks so much for using Stubby’s!

Littlewheel i am getting some surgery to remove a badly swelled bunion on my right foot so i am not fishing for probably two weeks. I am open to fish every day because i am retired. I ptefer fosjong during the week because of less boat traffic. I go to the lake to enjoy wildlife and yes fishing. As much as i love mercury motors i can do without the boats zooming past all day.
I have two spots close to boat lanes and rarely do bass boats slow down when they go by. I try to have manners when i drive close ro them and slow dowen to not disturb their fishing. As you are aware catfish are light biters and being able to feel them when they sniff the bait is sometimes critical. You or anyone else can get my nUnber from sti by or messge me on the forum. I would enjoy meeting you as i know Stu by thinks highly of you. I buy most of my bait at lake fork marina but i try to go het some from stubby at least once a month
Most may not realize tgat Stubby is a very talented and ehat i would call a refined fisherman. He has hisway down to an art and he is not only the best bait msler but ieould ckassify him as one of the best fishermen i know. Now i have great tespect for many guides on fork but i have learned more from Stubby anyone else. He actually share all the onformation you need to be su cessful freely. I have been out with bass guides that are good also. Cattfishing can be as technical as bass fishing. As you know wi ter catfishi g is tough sometimes. But like bass fishong you can catch some. Now i rately have a limit on January trips.

I fish during the week also to reduce the number of people that find my guide spots. I am busy with my homemade ice cream business for the next few weeks. Let me know when you get ready to go

Little wheel is correct. Most bait will work on a good day and yes stubbys will work every day. Even when the conditions are bad i only have stubbys in my boat. So when i am fishing in January the water temp is 40 stubbys still gets me bites.
