Have a 15’ jon stick steer with 40hp two stroke Yamaha that I want to haul to the Everglades and Keys backcountry. Any issues doing this if I wash it down with freshwater daily?
Has a new I-link terrova that I don’t want to tear up...I know the riptides are made for salt, but will a terrova mess up after only 3 days or so?

Boat and motor can handle salt, is your trailer galvanized? If it is painted your gonna have some corrosion.

As far as trolling motor I would say no. So does Minn Kota.

You should get a zinc anoid for the shaft of your troll motor. It will keep your motor safe.
The rest of the rig will be fine.
Make sure you fresh water wash the boat and trailer daily if possible.

Washing with fresh daily will certainly be helpful. Make sure your bearings are greased daily through the long drive portion there... and then back. Probably fine once you are there.. it's those long hauls that you have to manage tighter. Troll motor will be fine. Might give any carbon steel screws on the rig a dose of Corrosion X or something similar before the trip. Maybe reapply weekly if you're really worried about it. If they are all stainless it still wouldn't hurt. Stainless does rust, just much slower. They still benefit from a coating of rust preventative before and after a trip .. if you're worried about it. I do my boat seasonally.
