Because we are from out of town and staying in a hotel? Do people in Iowa not eat out when they travel?

I have fished it in the past and between your entry fees/fuel/lodging/food you will spend round $1000.00 per person for the 3-days! I have since decided to just avoid the crowds and save my money

Obviously we do.

A hotel doesnt mean I have to eat out especially with 2000 others in the area. But to each his own.

I would assume most people can bbq or make a sandwich or micro wave a meal, maybe Im giving people too much credit.

Have you seen the BBQ pits around the area?

We usually buy some Just crack an egg cups for breakfast, throw a couple sammiches in the cooler and call it good. Grill up a burger and some boudan at night, couple beers and itโ€™s sweet dreams sleep

Just about everyone who goes. I don't know who would spend the money to go and wouldn't spend the money for a good hot meal in the evening.

You never know what will happen on this lake. I've learned to start off with the intention of winning and except the results at the end of the day if you don't. We have caught winning fish from two feet of water to twenty feet. The bite is picking up, not catching big numbers of fish but I'm catching fish. Been on the loosing end of the line with 4 good fish in the past three weeks. The plan is to change the results next weekend when I land that pig a cash a check. See you in the winner circle.

I fish all the big fish tournaments here and have been doing so for years and the only time I don't eat out is when my buddy "COACH" fries crappie and French fries. When I am not on the water I eat 3 squares a day and I don't have to wait in line to be seated at any restaurant.

I was surprised how few boats were on the water this weekend since next weekend is the Big Bass Splash.
