Bend over 1Shot..... it is a scam and a rip off even if you have employer.

Wrong...most medium to large companies have very good health insurance I know mine does for medical, dental, and optical all but no cost and very modest deductible.

My employer provided it free in the '80's. Do tell.

^^^Won’t put that on any open forum but I will just say our deductible is $1300 per year and prescriptions are exempt from the deductible. I think they take about $50 per month out of my check and the company pays the rest hence my saying nearly no cost but some may not see it the same way.

We as a society are just not willing to deny medical help to people who show up at the emergency room. However, it is costly and has to be paid by someone. Insurance companies have negotiated down their cost so they don't share in the cost of taking care of the indigent. So, it is left on the backs of those who have money, but no insurance. No politician is willing to say that he is not in favor of treating a really sick child who has no money but none are willing to deal with the problem. I would bet that if we had a national plan for insurance with an option to those who preferred private insurance, but had to pay the additional costs of the private plan, within a few years, almost everyone would migrated to the national plan.

Health insurance is very inefficient. Insurance rates are set so they have a loss ration of about 75% meaning if they pay more than 75% of the premium in claims, they will up the rates. They don't intend to have any risk.

The affordable care act has had many problems that need to be fixed, and it has increased the cost to some who were barely able to afford what they had, but they did it to cover the cost of caring for those who were not paying any or very low premiums.

What stones you have to say this-
How can you even think you know what he has???????

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Yes. And I got a severance deal and started at Topgolf 2 weeks later.

Very happy with the new gig. That whole thing was very stressful but could not have ended better. In retrospect all I would have done differently is taken off a month in between jobs rather than just two weeks.

Medicare isn't free unless you never paid in. Been contributing since '76

Well I have met Mr Hard Rain once. And it was just the one time but he did not seem like one to tell fibs.

I'm only paying slightly more than he is with similar terms. So it certainly hasn't gone away. But I agree its very VERY rare.

Thanks Dan but he can think what he wants I could not care less I know our benefit package. As far as rare my wife’s company is good as well not quite to the level of mine but close. There is some benefit to working for a profitable company. She works in the building industry I work for an international ag related company.
