Headed there with the family to go camping in mid October and have never been to the lake. Any suggestions on fishing it? I imagine fall patterns will come into play...shad in the backs of creeks etc.?
Is it pretty navigable? Dragging my bayboat along and hoping to slay a few bass.

There's a safe route across the lake, but not marked. There's been several maps posted on TFF, so you should be able to find one. If you saw Honey Hole's recent Martin Creek episode, Bill was fishing some spots that are good year around. He was on the upper end of the lake around Durgin Bridge, but the inlet there close to the State Park is also a good spot to fish. C'rigged watermelon/red plastics will be your friend on Martin.

I was just out there today started along edges no luck moved back into creeks about 1.5-2foot of water early morning. Moved out deep as a last chance and killed them. I probably caught 30-40 all we’re about same size 1lb looked skinny. There currently hanging out just above the thermocline around 20-25 feet deep.
