Up hill both ways?

Wearing hobnail boots?

No, it was a fairly level set of roads, I had regular shoes, and there was no snow in Southern California. The bicycle I rode to middle school was a 3 speed.

I think my kids are too dumb to walk to school. They would prolly trip and break their phone.

I've lived in several other states and have never seen anything like this. They have school buses here, I've seen them. Why don't these kids ride the bus?

If you live a certain distance to the school then there is no bus service.

Well the whole thing is strange to me. I'm pretty sure there is no distance rule in my school district as we live 2 blocks away and my child was eligible for the bus. The stay at home mom theory could fly, but there must be hundreds of them, which is surprising to me. I'd personally walk a good long way before I sat in a mile long car line twice day 5 days a week. To each their own I guess. Just weird I've never seen this anywhere else in the country.

You live too close for bus service, Josh. Probably the same for all those parents sitting in lines to drop off/pick up.

It's just another bi-product of what I like to call the "chicken nugget" generation. Coddled in every minute of their existence. Most become snowflakes and vote for libtards.

We took our kids to school sometimes and they walked a lot too. But when we hit that drop-off line, we were ready to execute. The doors opened and feet were on the ground a second later.

We have a grade school in our neighborhood. I dread the lines blocking the streets every day. I go a half mile out of the way to avoid it.

we live three door down from the back of my daughters elementary school. So she walks home, but some days when she has a club meeting or something I'm required to pick her up. What ticks me off is the folks that refuse to pull up and fill up space so cars can get into the circle drive in front of the school and i get stuck back on a major road.

that's another thing that ticks me off when they aren't ready to get out and go. No they have to have mom or dad open the hatchback get their backpacks, give hugs and kisses then talk for another 1min. Be prepared for when you pull up to a drop off spot to get out and go.
