I have about 20 so needless to say I like them very much. I consider them the best catfish rod out there in their price range. All I personally know is they are good up for blues up to 64.8#. Some of mine are nearing 10 years old and still look good and work great. I prefer the eveo handles over cork.

I switched from the mh to medium when they came out. I like the lighter tip but still has the backbone for bigger fish.

I own and fish with 8 pro angler rods. I usually fish at least one day each week and i string up with 40 lb braid. I have never had a single one fail for any reason. Not even a broken eye on my rods. Th ed best guarantee is the one you never use. I spend 45 dollars a pop on the rids and they are ghe best money you can spend. Of my eight rods i havd a mix of spinning and baitcast. I prefer baitcasters so those rods get more use.

I've had mine 12 Pro Anglers for almost 14 years and they are still great catfishing rods, granted I don't use them as often as I used cause of these pesky crappie.

You cannot go wrong with them. I have used 10 or more of them. I had a 11 ft $100.00 Penn rod. And all of the ProAngler rods has lasted longer. Worth every penny. Every fish 50 lbs and over I have caught has been on my Proanglers.

Thanks for the reply’s.
I have the mediums and have not got to used them much. Largest fish so far is 22#. I was wondering how well the mediums will do on larger fish. Hopefully time will tell.

The mediums will do just fine, they handle red drum in the 38-44" size ever fall when we go to the cost and they ain't never made a catfish that can pull like a bull red.

They are great rods for the price for bluecats and flatheads. I used them for several years and never had a problem with any of them. Here is a photo showing the rod in action on a mean 40lb bluecat from a couple of years ago on a MH ProAngler.

Not many would stand up to that kind of load but I think the rod run out of steam. I just feel that the rods seem to be lacking the backbone needed at times. They are without a doubt a very strong rod as far as breaking strength which means a heck of a lot. I can see why a guide would love them. Hand it to a client with a reel properly set and set back and watch the action. Great fun

Video is a couple years old, but it is a good review of the Pro Anglers. I still have and fish with several.
