I tend to focus on native / naturalized / invasive species. This isn't an area I know well. Sorry.

Maybe Jelly palm – Butia capitata? Maybe?

Its not a Mexican Fan Palm or a Date Palm. Those are the ones common in So Cal and Vegas.

Hope that helps.

Sabal Palm (palmetto tree). Just guessing here. Common across much of the South.

I was thinking it was a Magnificentus Palmeronerous.

Be sure to protect it from frost.

Magnificentus Palmeronerous does not have any defenses against frostbite.

My Pops had 2 of those in his front yard about 28ft when he bought his current house. The tops were about 3 ft from a power line. While we were helping with moving in, it was quite windy that day and kept rustling into the power lines. Of course they caught on fire (During the last major drought)and had to call the FD. County came and cut them down soon afterwards. He planted two types of Cactus in their place. I hate mowing his yard, lol.

I’m almost positive that is a Pindo Palm. Difficult to tell for sure without a clear view of the trunk.

Just saw Katt’s reply- jelly palm/ pindo palm. Same same.
