Took a vacation about 15 years ago and went back to the same place this week.
Lake Catherine in Hot Springs Arkansas.
Both times caught only one fish from a cabin with dock on the lake.
Both times bait fish galore jumping everywhere.

Well there's your problem...it ain't fall yet.

Water was so clear you could see fish swimming around.
And right fall is late Sept.

It takes a special bag of tricks to catch fish in water that clear.

Ned Rig is your secret weapon.

Fall may skip us this year. Still hot as hades. Try again in late October.

FYI: Catherine isn't the best lake in that chain. I would go down to DeGray and chase schoolers. Sometimes they school for a 1/4 mile stretch at a time.

Also there is nothing wrong with clear clean water. Adjust your techniques for the water.

Grew up on Catherine and is tough on a good day. Not what I would call clear and clean although it seemed so after I moved to Caddo. Old lake, first built in the chain.

If this is fall I'm ready for winter.
