I have a 2015 Silverado. Been complaining since I bought it that something was wrong with the brakes. When I was on the ramp sometimes I literally had to stand on the brakes to keep the truck from rolling in the water. There was also a few near misses of rear ending someone while towing the camper. Dealer after dealer told me nothing was wrong. A few months ago while getting my oil changed I made my usual complaint. Dealer called me back and said 650 bucks to fix. I decided to call GM and have them pull all the times I’ve complained about it and make a stand. Long long story short but they finally gave in and fixed it for me. Now they are being recalled. What a racket.

Hard to stop a Chevy?

Once they start a recall they will refund your money if you had that repair done before the recall.
I don't know if they are required to do it but some do.

Let me clarify ...my Ranch Hand almost wiped a Prius with a rainbow BETO sticker off the face of the planet on Broadway in Tyler Sunday...wife even got on me for running up on them and I said " it wasn't me, brakes didn't work"

My Chevy is a 2016 and if I hit the brakes repeatedly, short but Firm taps; They go soft and I have to jam on it to stop. Usually happens backing up in a cramped parking lot.
