Fished on Sunday but the bite was really tough. Caught a few on our 1/16oz jigs and noticed that there was a bunch of pot belly minnows. So we switched to a 1/80oz jig and thats what they wanted. Once the switch, it was on! We caught over 70 perch a few bass and even a minnow.




This little guy was munching on a baby perch.












Goes to show a slight change makes a difference. All fish were released to swim another day.

Great information and pictures I have some 1/64th ounce jig heads I tie flies with but no 1/80th ounce. Where do you buy those at?
Fish #4 looks familiar. Is that a little Guadalupe bass?

We got those from Shane at MCM tackle you can also get them off of ebay. As for the little bass in #4 pic im not sure. Maybe somedody on here can let us both know lol. Thanks for your reply J-Moe!

PL...Pretty water and fish...I think that 4th one is a largemouth...we actually got 2 smaller than that the other day on Fayette

I think the fourth picture is a Guadalupe Bass! There are no vertical bars and the jaw line does not extend past the eyes. The rivers and creeks in the hill country are loaded with them! Caught a ton of Guadalupe Bass this year. Also got good numbers of them off of Mcqueeney!


Side Note: The lateral line is also separated and it looks like small diamonds or circles.
