My 3 bank Noco on board charger just quite charging on 2 batteries. The charger is only 2 1/2 Years old. Is the normal time frame for these to last? Was this just bad luck.
I need to get another charger. Would anyone recommend staying with Noco or trying another brand?
Thanks,

Three year warranty on the Noco.
If defective it's free replacement.

How long did your first charger last?
How old is the 2nd charger?

Less than 1 year on the first one (warranty replacement). The second one is 2 years old. If it dies I wonโ€™t get a third one since the warranty is expired.

Thanks,

When you say "quit charging" do you meant it will not power up at all on those two banks? Or are you saying the lights stay red and will not go green? Have you checked the voltage at the batteries when power was hooked up?

Could have some dead cells in those batteries too especially if they're low or out of water.

Kind of what I was getting at. I have seen the lights not go green on them after charging for a day before. Then checked the batteries and they were low on water. Topped them off and plugged charger back in and the lights went green in about an hour.

I've had my Noco 3 bank charger for over seven (7) years and never ever had any problem. It's never damaged a battery, matter of fact the batteries I'm using now are three years out and still perform great. If I had to replace it it definitely be another Noco, only it would be a 4 bank next.

The 2 trolling batteries are less than 3 months old and were working when I first got them. Last time I fished the trolling motor had no energy, so I thought maybe I forgot to charge the batteries after last use. I plugged I the charger in the afternoon and charged all night. The next day same thing, no power. I charged the batteries with my regular charger and they worked fine. So I guess now I will see if Noco stands behind their warranty.

I also have and use a Noco three bank on board charger, it stays plugged in when the boat is at home. No problems in over 9 years of constant use. To me they are the best charger on the market.

Update on NOCO charger
Talked to a service rep. at NOCO who was very helpful and sent me all the information I needed to return the charger. She said they would check it out once I returned the charger and see what the problems was. I was just getting ready to email them to see what they decided and my new charger came in the mail.
Good service

NOCO charger. How much better service than that could a person want.
