I used the dealer for the free oil changes and rotations. I knew I should have just done them myself after the experiences with the free ones on my Tacomas. I really got fed up them showing me my air filters and trying to sell me a $10 cabin filter for $30. Even when I pointed out that I had a supplemental door tag calling for a different PSI they would under inflate my tires. The last straw was my first change after the free ones. I was missing bolts in skid plate and I had to use a 2' cheater bar with neighbor holding my legs to get the filter cap off. It is supposed to be tightened to 20 ft lbs. I know what 130 feels like and it was close. I broke one filter wrench and destroyed the plastic filter cap in the process. Fortunately I had purchased a metal filter cap so I had a replacement. Prior to having my Tundra serviced there I reminded the service manager about my experiences with the Tacoma. He knew them because he called me after I gave them a zero on a survey. I give you a clue as to the dealer. They are close to my house.

At 100k i would change plugs and check the other items.

I have had 2 Tacomas and now my Tundra serviced at this dealer. I don't think you should need a long term relationship. They should get it right the first time. As far as $80.87 goes it does not cost me that for full syn and a filter plus I can do it in my driveway in less time then I spend sitting at the dealer and I know it is right. Discount does my tire rotations for free. Doesn't take much longer than getting the compressor out and checking the air in 4 tires.
