Tip Up Reel Down Catfish Tournament Series Opener Lake Arrowhead tournament October 5th!!! Registration and weigh in at the state park
***REGISTRATION STARTS AT 5:00 AM.*** Once registered and livewell check has been performed by the Tournament Director or one who has been appointed by the TD you may launch to catch bait and sit on hole until designated lines in start time.
Lines in the water at 7:30 a.m.
TOURNAMENT RULES: Please read all rules and payout format.
Entry fee $110 Per team
Entry fee break down: $80 goes to payout, $20 goes to big fish, $10 goes to tournament expenses.
Payout will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & Big Fish Payout: 1st place 60% 2nd place 30% 3rd place 10%
***NEW*** A optional 100% payback big fish side pot will be introduced this season. This will be a minimum buy in of $5. This pot will go to the team with the heaviest catfish of any species over 30lbs. If not broken it will carry over to the next tournament and will continue to build. If not broken all season it will go to the bigfish winners at the last event no matter the size of fish weighed in.
Bank or Boat.
Team will consist of one to three people.
Ten (10) rod limit.
Sign up on the day of the event. CASH ONLY! No exceptions
Teams must compete from boat or bank. Team members must remain within 50 yards of one another.
Fish weighed in must be caught by rod and reel only.
NO CATFISH MAY BE TAKEN FROM TROT, JUG, LIMB LINE OR HAND FISHING. NO CHUMMING OR FISHING KNOWN BAITED HOLES
Any legal commercial or natural bait will be allowed
Teams must comply with ALL STATE and CITY fishing and boating regulations.
Fishing and boating licenses are the responsibility of team members.
Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish may be weighed in. This is 5 fish limit tournament.
No Stringers allowed. Must have a working live-well or mesh sacks. When traveling back to weigh-in fish must be contained in a live-well of some form so the fish are not out of water for an extended period of time.
WEIGH IN PROCEDURES:
Teams must have lines out of the water by 3 pm and in line for weigh-in no later than 3:30 pm**NO EXCEPTIONS**
Weigh in order will be determined by first come first serve. You will turn in your tournament number that was assigned at registration while weighing in.
Your team weight will be written down on your registration form. After the last team is weighed 1st-3rd place and Big fish will be determined and cash prizes will be awarded.
*** Fished must be weighed in alive and released alive***
***NEW RULE*** **If a dead fish is weighed in YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED**
*** Fish will not be weighed in before 3pm***
In case of a tie for a qualifying team, the team with the biggest fish will win. If a tie still exists a coin flip conducted by the tournament director will decide any prizes to be awarded.
Any protest must be made in writing to the tournament director within 30 minutes following the end of the official weigh in.
NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS DURING TOURNAMENT HOURS
***No pre-fishing after sun set the day before the scheduled tournament. You must be off the water by sunset no exceptions.***
***TRAILERIING WILL BE ALLOWED AT ALL TOURNAMENTS***
The same designated ramp will be used for weigh-in and registration.

This lake is hard to beat for blues. I spent a good majority of my time fishing on Lewisville and Lavon, and the average/quality and size of blue you catch per fish on Arrowhead is much better in my opinion (really healthy population) . Much less fishing pressure on Arrowhead than on these DFW lakes as well. I might try to meet up with my brother and fish this one.

It's a great lake for sure! My son actually holds the junior lake record out there as well. Would love to have y'all come out and give us a try. My wife and I really strive to provide a fun and enjoyable tournament for everyone.
