For those of you who think your spouse don't notice what tackle you have think again. My wife came fishing with me yesterday and said, "Is that a new reel". I'm like what, no I've had this one. Her, noooooo you didn't, I've never seen that orange reel. Me, Huh what was the question. Needless to say she confiscated it and used it to sling a chatterbait all day.

Gee love reading this stuff. Glad I have my man card. Wife only buys you something because it's self perceived leverage. Solution - never let them buy you things.

Yeh. My wife just goes shopping. Doesn’t bother with the arguing part. I can automatically expect EVERYTHING I buy for the boat, or fishing related, or my SnapOn habit to cost me double. How she knows is a tough one, but she knows.
