as of today the #1 team in Texas
Your Horn Frogs Enjoy it while you can my friend cause Purdue is next at their place. They have played two games and both of their opponents were tougher than the Little Sisters of the Poor - Pine Bluff that the toads beat.

We been doing a lot of work at the stadium, probably going to be a little somber around there this week. I sure like Herman and Ellinger, they got beat but if a couple of things would have happened differently I think the game would have been much closer, that QB and receivers for LSU are the real deal.

Texas going to have a long season without healthy RB's. That game probably a little different if they didn't have to use their 3rd string QB as their starting rb. Their top 3-4 guys are all hurt.

While I don’t disagree, this one was all on the D. And Roschon Johnson has some fire and did a great job at RB last night. He carried the ball well and did great in pass pro. He may just stick at RB.

I enjoyed the game, but you have to acknowledge the touted LSU defense did allow Texas to hang 38 on them. What will happen when they go up against some of the SEC powers? Personally, I enjoyed the quarterback play on both sides, but was very impressed with Joe Burrows. I think LSU will stir up the status quo that has been the SEC. Just the way I saw it.

This game won’t mean near as much at the end of the season when Texas is 7-5.

Longhorn fan here - it was a good game, and I think it puts Texas right where they belong - in that 2nd tier of teams that aren't part of the playoff but are much better than .500. They never really recovered from the two 4th & goal turnovers early in the game. They took a 7-3 lead briefly in the 2nd quarter but got stomped on at the end of the first half and then didn't truly threaten after that. It was an interesting game because they kept getting close to threatening, but LSU was clearly the better team even though Texas played well. Too many mistakes...an interception and two red zone drives in the first quarter and you score 0 points? Can't win big games like that. Texas is closer than they've been since the Colt McCoy days though.

I think a few plays turn out a little differently then this is a different game.

Besides the obvious of not scoring in the 1st quarter, not burning any clock and giving up 7 points right before half ended up being a key part of the game.

Horns played well. DBU never showed up tonight. That being said, the D line needs to do a better job as well in putting pressure on Burrow. Burrow darned near beat Ags last year with his legs at Kyle, his arm was "suspect" at best. He proved to me he can be elite Sat night with that performance in that atmosphere. Texas is gonna be OK though. I see at least 9 wins, maybe 10 if the chips fall correctly. I cant say I see that for my boyz in College Station.

Had a scheduling conflict since I had bought Mark Knopfler tixs before renewing Longhorn season tickets and then looking at the schedule I said that Knopfler had better be awesome. I sold football and made enough on 4 tixs to pay for all four of the season tickets and went to the concert. ( I haven't watched the game yet.) Effing awesome concert. Picture sucks.
