Went and tried this lake for the very first time today. We went to try to get on some top water bass or anything really. We were literally the only people on the lake all day. They have a great restaurant at the marina and nice camping facilities, just nobody there. We caught probably 10 bass then decided we’d scan some of the deeper water for piles. Didn’t take long and we had found a couple. We caught about 10 keeper sized crappie before it got too hot. Next time, I’ll definitely be trying Dock’s and searching for more piles. Really don’t understand why there aren’t more people fishing it.

I think a lot of people have a problem about fishing a hot water lake in the summer. I fished Martin Creek a couple hours this past Labor Day and put 17 in the cooler. There were only 6 boat trailers in the parking lot. Lot's of times during the week I might not even see another boat. Of course when the weather cools it's a different story...lol.
