Alot of baits that say they float don't. For the most part the Z Man elaztech baits float, especially when you stretch them and get some of the salt out. I just fill up a sink to see which ones actually do float. Don't know about Xcite baits, never used them.

I’ve only used their 8 inch straight tail worm but I’ve caught some good ones on that illustrious action baits straight tail. They’re scented pretty well also.

Thanks SAKS. That's a little far for me. I see their shop is in Rowlett which is close. Don't know if they sell from there but I'll check. I really like floating baits for C-rigging.

Shoot me a PM If your interested in getting some Illustrious Action baits, and we can set something up. We also just started making a new craw bait as well as a baby brush hog that has a rattle chamber. Several new ideas are coming down the pipe.

Upton's Customs are good floaters, especially the straight tails. Hand poured, soft worms that are like Roboworms on steroids. Sizes range from 8" to 20"! Work great on shaky heads and Carolina rigs.Tackle Warehouse carries them, but their stock is low after Labor Day.
