Finaly installed a splasher prop. Won the prop last fall at the "6 old geezer striper tournament "
I'm hoping she does double duty with sandies.
Now just one more battery, ugggg...

I do have a question if a small lawn mower/atv battery would last long enough for a half day trip. Using it sporadically?

12 volt trolling motor. Lawnmower batteries are too small.

I have tried one but it only lasts a few hours. I added a back trolling motor plug for mine when I ordered my new boat and that works awesome for half a day of fishing.

I bought one of the smallest batteries interstate sells and it works for hours and never been a problem. It still was about $100 and about the size of a landmower battery in demonsions...I think 30 something amp hours.

Thank you! I guess I'll crack the wallet open one more time.
I have interstate's everywhere else.

I use a size U1 AGM battery (lawnmower siize) it's a deep cycle 35 amp hour battery. It will be fairly run down at the end of the day, but it works pretty well. I put it in a soft sided cooler bag with a shoulder strap and it is simple to take in and out to charge. Also installed a normal MinnKota plug on the battery and motor. Picked the battery up at Northern Tool for $69.99 on sale.

I ended up buying the AGM battery from Harbor Freight $69 and I used the 20% coupon. Will give it a test run tomorrow evening at Grapevine to see if I can get the Sandies to stay up longer.

Won it in a tournament at Texoma. I lost it shortly after that picture when the nut backed off my trolling motor. I watched it sink.
They were made locally from what I gather but I have no other info on it.
