We recently did major preventative maintenance on my wife’s 2012 Camry, which has 112,000 miles on it. Spark plugs, radiator flush and new coolant, new belts and hoses, transmission flush and new fluid. Check the boots. Amazingly, the brake pads and rotors were all still in spec and they are the originals. Cost was $1,300 with our trusted mechanic and worth it. The 2001 Camry we had made it to 270,000 miles before we got rid of it--never a repair except for normal expendables.

They are still trying to blame those throttles sticking on the floor mats. Ahh I see Had an 07 Tundra. I didn't believe it either until I was doing about 80-85 mph outside of El Paso on my way back from Vegas. I am not one to go rushing in hitting the panic button when I get a recall notice. In fact, I don't think I ever took my 94 and 98 Rams in when I got a notice, but I believe 100% that the Tundra's accelerator and floor mats were a dangerous combination. So much so, that I went and bought new rubber floor mats even after I took the Tundra in to have the accelerator's bottom left corner "shaved" off. Because of how the floor was designed and how the carpeted mats fit in that groove, I could definitely see where the pedal could catch and stick, especially at high speeds when the pedal was depressed further. So say what you want about the accelerator sticking on its own and some of them may have, but the length of the pedal and the mats made it even worse.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

Coming up on 100K for my 2015 Toyota Highlander (stopped going to the dealership whenever the oil changes stopped being free at 36K--Toyota is infamous for service upsells, so I've been going to a mechanic I trust)
No detectable problems with the vehicle, gets regular service at the mechanic I trust
At 100K, other than checking all the fluids, what should be done (other than check the fluid levels, change oil/air filter)?
Check belts, hoses, and bushings? Change spark plugs? Change brake pads? New Battery? I used the dealer for the free oil changes and rotations. I knew I should have just done them myself after the experiences with the free ones on my Tacomas. I really got fed up them showing me my air filters and trying to sell me a $10 cabin filter for $30. Even when I pointed out that I had a supplemental door tag calling for a different PSI they would under inflate my tires. The last straw was my first change after the free ones. I was missing bolts in skid plate and I had to use a 2' cheater bar with neighbor holding my legs to get the filter cap off. It is supposed to be tightened to 20 ft lbs. I know what 130 feels like and it was close. I broke one filter wrench and destroyed the plastic filter cap in the process. Fortunately I had purchased a metal filter cap so I had a replacement. Prior to having my Tundra serviced there I reminded the service manager about my experiences with the Tacoma. He knew them because he called me after I gave them a zero on a survey. I give you a clue as to the dealer. They are close to my house. At 100k i would change plugs and check the other items.

They won't touch my truck again.

I have been dealing with the same dealer/service mgr for years and thankfully I have none of these issues. There are no up sales. When they do rotate tires the PSI is correct ( I do double check ) they also torque the lug nuts back down. The 80.87$ I spend for 8 qts full syn, filter and tire rotation is well worth it to me to not have hassle with it. Added bonus is I don't even have to tell them not to wash the truck lol..

Replace timing belt if it has one (some have a timing chain which doesn't need maintenance). Flush transmission fluid. Replace spark plugs.

Timing belts make me nervous 30 years ago, a mechanic replaced the timing belt on my first car. After he did so, the car ran a little off. It was subtle, my dad and friends said it sounded like it always did; but I could detect a hint of something different. A week later, the pistons blew

Check belts, hoses, and bushings? Change spark plugs? Change brake pads? New Battery? I have 85K on my yota and I have always had it serviced at a dealer and never had anyone trying to upsale me on service. I only deal with the mechanic, the service adviser is only there to book the appointment. I just hate the relentless calls and emails from Toyota of Dallas about wanting me to trade it in. I really wish my mechanic hadn't left Richardson and gone to Dallas.
