Anyone have any recommendations on what shoes they wear out on the boat? I’ve been wearing sandals but don’t want to have to mess with my feet getting sunburned or having to put on sunscreen. Was looking at the Colombia Bahama Vents but wondering what other options people use.

Sperry Billfish. Has more support than the basic Sperry Topsider which is also a good option.

I use Teva Hurricane Drift sandals when I want to get my feet wet. World Wide Sportsman Anchor II Boat Shoes from BassPro when I want my feet covered, and Rubber boots in the winter to keep my feet dry.

I’m a teva guy like Osborn bit I have some Keen sandals I like to wear if I’m going to get out and wet wade. Simms has a new shoe out that I have thought about called the Riprap. I like them. Link ....

Another thumbs up for Soft Science and also for Sperry. Sperry if the feet are going to stay dry, Soft Science otherwise. But there are many excellent choices available; what you want to spend is really the biggest factor.

Most comfortable shoes out there i use to get back aches from standing on boat or bank. Go to YouTube you will a lot of reviews on them from many sportfisherman content creators . Made from same materiel as crocs so they are really light. I just bought another pair this time their wading boots as I wanted something to replace my korkers

You want fashionable footwear to profile in or do you want comfortable footwear to fish in?

Lee , This worked well for me when I have been on the bow of a flats boat while being poled by a guide in search of bonefish & carp. A pair of white footie athletic socks . Kept the tops of my feet from getting burned. I was always able to feel if I was stepping on my fly line . Invariably you end up with 20-30 ft of line on the deck at your feet ready to cast and shoot while shifting your feet to maintain balance or change casting angles. By being able to feel the line underfoot I could shift accordingly and had fewer “ blown shots” !
