How often do y'all replace your trailer tires? Do y'all gauge it by age or wear and tear?

"But God demonstrates His own for love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Trailer tires every 4-5 years max no matter how much wear they have.

Tires have a four digit code in a little oval space along the side of the tire. The first two numbers are the week of the year manufactured. Second two numbers are the year manufactured.

For example it will have 3416. That is that the tire was made in the 34th week of 2016.

Replacement depends on age and condition. Tires that sit outside all the time will age quicker than those that spend their off water time in suitable storage.

Look for cracks in sidewalls and tread. Time to replace. Valve stems - quite frequently overlooked. Bend them slightly and if the rubber is cracked have them replaced. Always replace with new tires.

Always run trailer tires at max pressure and check often. Low trailer tire pressure is the biggest detriment to them and accounts for the most failures.
