Got to the lake a little before sunrise...it was 73 degrees...almost sweater weather for me smile. Water temp was 91 degrees at launch & 95 degrees when I left at noon. Wind was light from the north til around 11:00 am then started picking up. sunny skies til around 10:30 when a few clouds started moving in. Caught around 75-80 today... about half as many as last week, but today the big girls were biting like crazy. Could not find many fish in the trees, but reedbeds & the dam are still holding lots of fish. Started out using some night crawlers I had left over from 3 trips ago, and switched to the Gulp Alive minnows after about an hour or so. Got plenty on both, but the biggest fish came on the minnows fished drop shot. All fish released to fight again... [Linked Image]

Gitter & Bill...Thanks for the replies & comments. Photography has been a hobby of mine for 50 years. Tried something different with the Go Pro this week by setting it on "Time Laps" with 5 second intervals between shots. It turned out pretty interesting being able to capture shots like the 1st one. Out of the 800 photos it took in a 45 minute span I got around 20 like the 1st shot.

Banker...The bite started almost immediately when I started fishing, but the best "big fish bite" was at my third spot around 9:30. They were stacked up in little cut in the reeds with a hard bottom. There was naiad grass patches all around the area, but this spot was maybe 4' by 4' where they were. I tried the Oak Thicket ramp area around 10:30 with no success, so went to the dam & located a good pod of fish. There were some pretty good ones mixed in, but nothing like spot #3...

I should have known that you had photography skills by all of your past photos and videos. Keep those post coming! I can agree with some of your past replies from other anglers, that your post make anglers want to go fishing after seeing and reading them!

Depending on the water body, I have been catching plenty of nice fish during the heat of the day. Left them biting several times during the summer while fishing Lady Bird Lake and certain creeks!
