My brother and I fished Whitney yesterday, water surface temp down about 5 degrees to about 85. Stripers are scattered, no large schools we could find. We did catch a few trolling umbrella rigs, first I have caught in a month. I feel another month before they school back up.

I agree that the striper have been sporadic, but the gar fishing at Whitney has been good (lol).

Nice catch.
I had never tried for or caught a gar till a week ago and have caught 2 since while catfishing.
