I witnessed 2 boats absolutely tattoo stumps on Worth over the weekend. Past the 199 bridge is NOT CLEAR... someone has put in a couple of red buoys and painted a stump orange, dont let that fool you into thinking those are the only ones up there. The white buoy on the left side of the horseshoe going up is also WAYYY to the inside of the actual boat lane. Yes a few locals will run a crazy lane over there, but note that when they do the boat is trimmed up to the max. I watched boat after boat going about 30 mph trimmed down plowing... guys once I pass 199 its trimmed up as high as I can get it. There's only 2 places, IMO, that are safe to shut down north of 199 before you get to the no wake zone for the river and even those are super high pucker factor for anyone that actually knows whats under that water. This is my PSA for the week, saw lots of boats make it without hitting anything running the same area as the two boats that hammered stumps, your playing the odds game up there if you dont know the lane and those stumps are petrified... the lake is 105 years old so anything thats left is SOLID.

I have seen a lot of boats this year that have been running in the stump fields. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone smash into one yet.

A few of the stump markers were pulled when the lake got high.

Now that is is low there are a couple stumps in the final run towards the nature center sign that become a problem.

So I need to fallow you next time, I need to learn that run. I could only imagine if you could run past the no wake zone how many boats would get trashed.

It's been a while but I used to be able to run all the way up there on pad. Pretty far up to where it narrows quite a bit. Had the route saved on a chip. Have not done it in several years. Back when Media started going there I bet there was only a handful of guys that knew that run. Over the years it got figured out by many though.

stay wide of the bend but not too wide......like buda said you gotta be on pad up. Too many folks risking a beat down when going slow through there. I prefer you high tail it past me than trying to do me or you a favor.
