Game Wardens were out on our local lake checking. I'm glad this was finally signed into law after many years of trying thumb

Yeh. I was about 50/50 yesterday. It’s gonna get easier. I clipped to a neoprene wrist band that I slide on.

Gonna put a “kill switch” sign on my dash, I guess. Lol

I have a D ring on my live jacket and I have been clipping it on and practicing unclipping it before I get up out of my seat. Sometimes I don't always remember and pull the chord all the way off the kill switch.

I always wear mine but I need to buy a new one that isn't a string maybe the spring type cord that I can put on my wrist easier.

Seems totally unenforceable and silly and unnecessary but other than that, cool.

I tried the life jacket clip and just couldn't remember, found a thin cell phone wrist lanyard on Amazon that has a little loop that is comfortable and I can remember a lot better because I feel it attached as a start to stand up.

I haven’t seen a game warden on a lake in 15 years

Fish Lewisville, then Bridgeport, then Cedar Creek across three days and you will break that string

Because giving me a ticket when I forget to hook up my kill switch is going to prevent a horrible fatality in which a passenger is thrown out of a boat and hit with the prop...but the driver isn't. I'm not sure how that works, but the legislature passed it so it must. If nothing else it makes everyone feel good that something was done and good intentions were displayed, whether it solves a problem or not.

Sold boats for 3 years on Lewisville. Fished Lewisville 2-3 times a week for 5 and never seen a one

So if I'm practicing for a tournament and forget to attach it, is that a question that can be asked on the polygraph? All the polys I've taken atleased asked "have you broke any state laws"

Maybe not, but it might prevent your boat from remaining at 60mph and crashing in to another family, if you were to get thrown out.

The simple way to follow the letter of the law. Is wear your lifejacket with Kill Switch attached, when the big motor is running. No IF's , AND's or BUT's.
Even with the kill switch w/ a long cord, plugged into your BUTT.
