Tboxfish met me at the ramp at 8:30 on an absolutely beautiful morning yesterday! We went old school and used my boat. Now I say old school because I don't have LiveScope or 360. Since Todd had not been at the helm of his old boat in 4 years, I put him in the drivers seat. I swear that his DNA is connected to this boat. He didn't miss a beat unloading, loading, running, scanning or setting up to fish! It only took 10 minutes for him to find a spot, set up and catch the first fish (which turned out to be the biggest of the day)! The wind stayed light and the heat was rising fast. We got off the water about 1:30 with 34 quality crappie. Not too many wake boats where we were made for a better day of fishing. We targeted 15 FOW and caught most fish about 10-12 feet down. The bite was mixed with some light bites, but the majority were slamming the jig. We didn't harm any minners and caught almost all of our crappie on a 2" Tadpole in Natural Shad. Todd was using a Mad Crappie Jigs 1/16oz head in Tinkerbell, and I was using the same in 1/8oz. I love local American made products, and these two produce some of the best product I have ever used crappie fishing. Great people, great product and great days on the water are irreplaceable!
