Does anyone else have a problem with the blades coming off. It seems like if you bounce them off anything the rear blade comes off. How do you prevent it from happening? I like the baits, but....

Been having that problem for a little while now. Not to mention the fact that after a couple of good fish, the wire WILL end up breaking after being bent back into shape.
I called Santone and was told theu didn't have a problem, I did.

They didn't close the eye tight enough that holds the split ring on the swivel. Needle Nose pliers can fix that.

I use to use them a lot with some success. Then I had the problem of wires breaking or blades falling off new baits several times. I just went back to using war eagle. I think the Santone is a prettier spinnerbait but apparently the fish donโ€™t care. Problem solved.

I always change out the split rings on my santone got 5 spinnerbaits with one size up. Used to lose a lot of blades but none since changing the split rings. I also wrap the R bend with wire or thread and tie it off. It doesn't stop the wire from breaking (that's going to happen with lighter wire, but that's what makes the baits so good) but it does make them last longer.
