I have taken my 6 year old grandson out fishing at Lake Belton 3 times and have yet to catch a fish. I am primarily trying for catfish and have a boat. I would be willing to try hybrids as well. If anyone can help me put a smile on his face I would be forever grateful. You may reach me at Chrisjgott@gmail.com I will keep it quite as I understand the favor you would be doung if you help. TIA

Try fishing for white bass. There is a place called the Shallows on the east side of the lake. Drop your trolling motor, look at your graph and look for bait balls. Then drop jigging slabs. The white bass will be chasing the shad balls. They will also explode on the top. Have a small crank or lipless bait ready to throw at these schooling fish. We were there today and I know they are there.

Be safe,
