Like I am really going to hand my $1,400 phone to a GW on the lake. If I had a $1400 phone I wouldn't even take it with me to the lake. Why would anyone own a $1400 phone? To run a very successful business from anywhere in the world with cell service. See there? He's a big shot. Satisfied?

Just in case you didn't get the TPWD email or see one of the articles about it:
Starting tomorrow you are no longer required to carry a paper copy of your fishing license. An electronic copy on your phone is now legal. You can renew your license online, download your copy, and go fish. Way to go Texas! You are correct. Download the TP&W Outdoor Annual App on your phone, enter your customer number on your paper license and you will then have a electronic copy on your phone. He is simply stating we all now have another form of backup if you left your wallet in the truck, forgot it at home or your wife kept it. I highlighted in red that he stated fishing license only and said nothing about the hunting licenses. We all know when required you need to tag and you can't do that with an electronic copy. This is a good thing. I remember bill Wilcox and partner getting dqd from a champs win for not having license "in" their possession on Rayburn. I've heard other dq stories for guys leaving it in the truck also.

Noticed this on TP&W's on line license site:
An Administrative Fee of $5.00 is charged for each transaction in addition to the items when purchased online.
I can drive to my local Wal-Mart for a license for a lot cheaper than $5 I'd pay the $5 to stay out of Wal-Mart

you can download the outdoor annual app, link it to your license, and have a virtual "copy:" of your license. It will also then show all of the archived license that you have had in the past.

You can even take a picture of your paper license and it will be sufficient.

Do they still have the super combo hunting/fishing license ? I was trying to go to the TPWD website and get mine and my sons licenses but Im not seeing it?
(may be overlooking it?)
