I was at Pines today and a group of 4 backs down a ramp that is more than big enough for 2 boats then decides to get all their **** in the boat. I was at dock ready to get my truck to leave. I just back down, but it was a little tight, and I had more than enough room. The fools ram the dock with party barge almost knock a lady from the dock and hitting my boat that my wife was holding. That's when I couldn't hold my tongue any longer and told them if they would wait just a second I will be out of here. They got pissed at me because I they really had no clue what they were doing. I had my boat loaded strapped down was leaving and the 4 guy still looking for [censored] in the truck. This just the normal now or what?

I would have guessed Memorial Day but the 4th would be right up there with the other two.

Definitely more idiots owning boats that are inexperienced than ones that are. Was at a small lake yesterday morning and it's a 3 lane ramp, a little tight but easily doable. Got in line just in time for some idiots to back down as if it's a 2 lane and neither boat had got anything ready yet. One boat was too stupid to realize the reason they couldn't get the boat off the trailer was because the skeg was dug into the ramp. They were baffled. Group of grown men. The other boat finally just used a rope and pulled their boat off the trailer, sounded like it hadn't been cranked in a couple years. Both boats were still at the dock after we launched and got all our tackle ready.

I love watching the "experienced ski boat guys" sink their trailers until only the winch post is exposed and wonder why the boat is crooked on the bunks when they pull up. Of course, this is in the middle of a 2-lane ramp when it's busy.

For most people boating is a infrequent thing and they are not in a hurry to get on or off the water. Thats never going to change.

Ive seen bass fisherman do it also, not everyone is in a hurry!!

Lots of yankees and their cousins from the west, now live in our state.

That's a big part of our problem.
