Just pulled home a new to me Legend LE21 last weekend. I have been spending some time organizing and just can’t come up with the best way to organize my tackle in the very large front hatch. Post your pics and diy tricks to tackle organization, looking for ideas.

I don’t have near as fancy of a boat as you have but I like using plastic boxes. [Linked Image]

This is amazing. I thought I was doing good but now mine looks like a slob fishing.

Thanks Burbarry. There’s a thread in the Jon boat section.

Not to hijack the thread though. I don’t know your boat, DanT, but there are a lot of ways to organize tackle and a lot of products out there to think about. I’ve seen racks people have under the lid that hold cranks and spinners. They look like a great idea. If I had the chance I’d do that. It would help keep them from rusting.

Congrats on the new boat and welcome to the forum!

Thanks! I probably should have been more specific, I am, trying to organize that particular box. All my tackl is pretty organized already in 3700 series boxes. I was a member years ago but lost the email account my login was connected to. Glad to be back.

Go to Wal-Mart and buy a short, extendable curtain rod. It will keep all your boxes snug and you simply move it back or forward to add more boxea.

Hard plastic lures and jigs go in 3700 boxes, soft plastics go in totes and are put in rear of boat to reduce bow weight. Then get a zip up lingerie bag and use as a day bag and keep in the front area of the boat for quick access. Works good for a few trips then you will have compartments full of Walmart, Academy and Bass pro sacks in all the compartments with what they bit on last trip.

Pile it in the compartments and use what is on top!

You need to worry about catching them fish to weigh in and blazing those white shades and flat bill cocked a slight bit to the left

I got zipper pouches for soft plastics. I have a "Go To" box for the stuff I throw 90% of the time. Took awhile but I came to the conclusion...Who am I fooling? I regress to the same lures by the end of the day so why not throw them all day.

I use plano boxes for soft plastics out of the package, crank baits, spoons, chatter baits, etc.
I then use containers with lids on them from Walmart to keep soft plastics in that are still in the package. I have one for flukes and senkos, one for craws, one for baby brush hogs, one for hollow frogs, etc. They work well.
