Thinking of trying lake Benbrook this weekend. Any suggestions on what to use and how is the fishing there?

Fishing is always tough on that lake, but you always got a chance at a big one. I fish the drop offs, rock walls.. 15 + feet of water.. drop shot.. I fish slow. If you go out in the morning, first light you can get some shallow... I like a weightless fluke or crank bait. Good luck.

Find another place other than marina. That parking lot looks like bomb craters unless you wanna tear trailer up

Caught a three pounder on a Yellow magic early morning then didnt catch a fish the rest of the day..

Holiday north ramp is very shallow, plan on getting wet when launching. Was really tough when I was out there a couple of weeks ago. Caught 3 little ones and left before it got too hot. All on small swimbait along drop off in 12 FOW.

put in at mustang Wednesday at 10am and fished till 3. caught 14 bass all shallow 2 to 7 ft on crank bait and worms. best 5 went 21# with a 7.9 kicker. You don't have to go deep on Benbrook in hot summertime there are always good shallow fish there.

Fished Benbrook again Tuesday the 10th from 8am till 1pm. Bass still shallow for me (4-5ft,) 5 fish that went over 18# with a 6.3 and 5,8. worm and crankbaits still produce

I'm in the wrong areas I guess. I caught one in 3 hours on Wed. Usually I can catch a good one or two.
