Where is all the hydrilla? I know the high water this spring had an impact but is something else contributing to lack of hydrilla? I typically fish between 103 and 147. Even having a hard time finding healthy grass South of hydrilla.

High water is the only reason there was a lack of grass. Its starting to show up in the backs of some creeks. Definitely some other areas have grass. I have not checked the deer stand, I bet it still has grass.
Its gonna take another year and the right conditions for it to recover again.

Excessive high water kills Rayburns grass every time. If the lake stabilizes through next spring, it'll be back for next summer

I wasn’t sure if chemicals used for Salvinia control also killed the hydrilla

I wasn’t sure if chemicals used for Salvinia control also killed the hydrilla The chemicals sprayed only target one specific type of grass. High water levels results in lack of sunlight which cause Hydrilla to die off. Think of it this way: The grass is level with the surface of the water at 16 (Normal Pool Level for example) and then the water rises 8'-9' and stays there. When that happens the Hydrilla is 8-9' underwater now and the Sun isn't reaching it.

No spraying issues. It's all water levels. Can't have 8ft high spring rains and expect it to survive. If levels stay here, it'll come back strong

. If levels stay here, it'll come back strong That's been the problem the last few years. The CORP has been doing a bad job in the fall to control the spring flooding. Rayburn should be about -4 to 5' in Oct.

The only thing that saves Rayburn is the high water in the spring. Without that, it wouldn't be half the lake it is now with the pressure it receives.

Hydrilla is already returning back of coves and off main lake ditches
