I just saw some bronze crappie jig hooks on the Pro Angler Tackle website. Just wanted to get some feedback from those that have used them. I have never used them before.

Anything from Pro Angler will get the job done. Matzuo bronze sickle hooks are good hooks

Was thinking about the red or bronze. Will try the bronze.

Bronze hooks will straighten out if they get hung up. Black nickle hooks always break on me b4 they straighten out. Thats been my experience

The bronze, black nickel, and bronze are all good hooks. I’m biased to the red sickles because I tend to think the red attracts more strikes.

I wonder if the bronze will be less attractive to the fish than red or even the lead color.

Red is the first color to filter out in the water, It does not become " invisible " as some would have you think.
Red turns to black at 10 to 15 ft. Only use for red hooks IMHO is on topwater lures.
I have used red hooks for crappie jigs , but realize they might as well be black for the fishing I do.
good luck

Personally....I like the bronze hooks because they bend out easier in brush. Those jig tying guys don't like them because people don't loose their jigs and they don't sell as many!!!! HHHHHhaaaaa!!!!!!

Over thinking hook color here. Not a tinkers damn does hook color make. They see the bait, not the hook. and decide to strike.

Most of the time I use smaller hooks than most people. 1/16 oz or 1/32 oz with a #6 hook most of the time. I usually use a 1/8 oz split shot on my line about 6" above the jig. (I'm not in a tournament so if an occasional fish pulls off I don't care.)

The hooks are all the same until they are coated. If you put the red hooks in a toaster oven at 400 degs the red paint burns off and you have a gold hook
I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle
