First off let me explain what I have , I have a water well for water,8 zones I have a rain bird esp lxme controller . when I turn it on it waters each in sequence and my well can't keep up after about the 2nd zone nothing really gets any water, are there a way to set this controller for a delay between zone so the well can catch up? If not what controllers would allow me to do this? I have been told that a Rachio controller will do this. Thanks

You have different programs on the bottom right A-D. You can program 2 zones each on different programs - 2 zones x 4 programs = 8 zones. Basically you are setting up 2 zones to have 4 different start times. You'll want to make sure the run times don't overlap.
Or you can use a cycle and soak program. Which means if you normally run your zones for 15 minutes, you can break the runtime down into 3, 5 minute intervals with each interval having a pause in between.
Your controller is a quality controller and should work just fine.
Another option would be to have an auxiliary tank. So your well pumps into a large holding tank and your irrigation pulls from that. All of your plumbing and pumps are at or close to grade and can move water much easier.

You dont need a Rachio.
First thing you need to do is find out long you can run a zone. Then how long does it take the well to be productive again Once you have this figured out you will be able to make a better decision. On how to set the controller. Personally i would be looking for a storage tank. That way you can fill the tank and run the system off the tank while the well fills it after use, Send me text or call me and i will talk you threw it. Bruce
