Her kidneys were shutting down and luckily she had a good doctor who asked her a bunch of questions after her blood work came back - and knew there was something strange going on. Once she stopped with all the spraying she got better. She was a clean freak and just couldn't live with the spider webs all over her back porch and dock. She started using a pressure washer and after a while she just gave up and ended up moving away from the lake where she spent her last few years out in the country.
So a few years later, I'm on the lake and go by her old lake house fishing. As I approach the dock the owner comes over and starts asking me how's the fishing, I start the conversation off with well not so good, I was just wanting to look at the old place and then it hit me, I went to high school with this guy. We had a an old reminiscent 20 minutes about the place and her of course.

I spray the Demon DP or whatever it is from Tractor Supply at my place in Rayburn Country at the lake. The guy that sprays my house in town says you have to spray a spider with poison to kill them. He said they are not like a bug that crawls through it after you spray. Not sure I know if he is right or not. I know big spiders are hard to kill.

the stuff I posted kills anything and everything, whole lot safer than demon.

I use home defense from home depot with the built in electric applicator. When we get to the lake on Friday evening, I usually spray around the perimeter of the deck cover. Hit all my lights that are strung up there as well. After I spray overhead I will hit around the doors and windows but not on the glass. I will go around the perimeter of the actual deck itself sometimes as well. This stuff is not real strong so I spray Friday when I get there and again when I leave on Sunday night or Monday. Right now with the heat the cobwebs are almost uncontrollable so I'm cleaning those up with a broom on Friday night as well. This whole process only takes about 10 minutes on Friday night and probably 5 minutes on departure.
I use demon from Potts around the perimeter of my place once a year in the spring.
I'm ready for it to cool off so I can stop this procedure for the winter, but ever since my neighbor told me this process I have knocked the bug population down a lot on my deck. I think they went next door!!

I use tempo it kills any thing that crosses it spray inside and out side last about 2 months kid and pet safe

Whatever you use , make sure its a repellent. Spiders do not clean their feet , so they can walk across a dried insecticide all day and it will not kill them. You have to hit the spider with the spray to actually kill it. I would suggest a Bifenthrin product as others have suggested mixed at the highest mixing rate. Spray into all cracks and crevices also.

Why do you want to kill the spiders? perhaps a better title would be Spraying for spiders on back porch.  I am not spraying the whole property. It is not the spiders I hate It is the mess they make. Mo

Why do you want to kill the spiders? x2. Spiders be good. Except for the Widows and Fiddlebacks. Yeah, kill them. This time of year putting dogs out for last call I'll grab crickets, grasshoppers, moths from under the yard lights and stick them in the webs. Got 2 Charlottes right now look like they're about to bust wide open they're so well fed.

I have tarantulas and wolf spiders in the garage.
