Happily pay $50 and drive all the way from Kansas. We come down every year in March for a long weekend and the fishing is still great - hot or cold water.

We have some new options that have presented themselves. As things become clearer for the good or bad I will let everyone know.

Chris is a great dude and I’m proud to call him my buddy. No doubt he will give this every thing he has to try and figure out a creative solution.

Keep it up bud, I’m pulling for you. Hell I’d pitch in just for the cause even though I don’t fish there just to support y’all.

Do any of you remember the old man that used to work at the shack where you paid? I’m 30, and grew up fishing that lake.

Guessing most on this thread do, Pintail. There are a few references above. His name was Thomas. Wife's name was Darlene. They worked there a long time. Many great memories of both of them.

Thanks Chris!

I spent a few spring breaks in the early and mid 90's as a kid going to Monti and camping and fishing the whole week. Caught my first bass on a lake in the Bob Sandlin cove, and watched my buddy have a bass break his rod which led to him trying to land it by pulling in line by hand. He lost it, and man that's a fish I wish I got to see.

His name was Thomas

His son took over for a season or two after he either retired or died. He was a entertaining guy to chat with

you can thank Obama for this disgusting end result...…families lost their livelihood, and of course the loss of electricity, which will be needed, ...and the loss of memories... "F" Obama... this post will probably get whacked...

Require a whole lot of luck...
