We have a black and tan dachshund dog that we have had for about a year.

Lately he has been going to the back yard an bringing rocks into the house.

My wife will trade him a few cheerios for the rock. This has become more frequent.

My question is for the O.T. is do we have him trained to give up rocks for cheerios?

Or does he have her trained to give him Cheerios if he brings us a rock?

Dogs train humans. Some humans are slow learners.

I've told my dogs several times I'll trade them treats for weeds, but they're just too lazy.

Yep, I retired almost a year ago and they still expect to be taken out at the same time as when I worked.

All dogs want a job. He is just finding his own. The reward will keep him working.
