Heading to Sam Rayburn, I've never fished it. Not looking for anyone to share their fishing holes. Just wanting to know if there are any area's you shouldn't run your boat and if so what area's should I look out for?

Thanks in advance

If you've got a couple of hours free, there's a really good set of videos on Youtube by Ken Smith that go through a bunch of different areas on the lake and what to look out for in terms of dangers.

Ken Smith Playlists

He's pretty active on here as well.

My advice for any newbie to Rayburn, if you are anywhere within sight of the 147 bridge and in water from 2-25 feet deep with some cover and structure, you are fishing in the right spot and have a chance at the fish of a lifetime.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.
