I’m a new recreational bass fisherman (some of you may remember my recent post asking about a “do It all” combo).
Well after a few trips, and getting tired of retying, I like the idea of a few technique specific setups. Looking for recommendations on weight/action/length.

I’m cheap so please don’t recommend high end rods please. I’m going with the least expensive but good quality I can find in each recommendation. I’ve got drop shot covered.

The T rig, squarebill and spinnerbait can all be covered with one rod. A good MH rod with fast tip in the length you prefer can handle that. At least if you keep the T rigs 1/2oz and under. I've used a MH rod with fast tip for years and years with a squarebill. No issues keeping fish pegged at all.

Ok that’s awesome to know. I can probably get by with one more setup then.

I would go cheap on the crankbait rod, I have a medium 7 foot Castaway but I would think the Academy brand H20 rod would suffice.
I would not go cheap on the Tx rig rod, I use a Gloomis 7 foot med heavy and you can use the med heavy for the spinnerbaits, I do.

A 7' MH rod with fast tip may very well be the most versatile rod you can get in bass fishing. It can handle so much. Add jigs, bladed jigs, buzzbaits, buzz frogs, swim jigs, underspins, weightless plastics, smaller swimbaits, larger topwaters etc to the list of what it can do.

I don't care what the Dobyns gurus say, you can't beat the H20 rods for the money. However, the one you link I can confirm is a hunk of [censored]. Go with the H20 Aduro rods on the blue ones. I have some Falcon Lowriders and some custom built rods and although I love them, the H20 rods are just as good.
