I'm a teacher at Malakoff High School and have been approached about helping some youngsters out. I'm pretty sure there's only one kid that has a fishing pole or 2 or even a decent knowledge of pond fishing. I want to help and plan on doing so as much as possible, but I'm in no shape financially for kids with 0 fishing knowledge to be using my equipment or losing my lures. What are some of the things I can do concerning this area?

Next is the boat issue. I fish with my dad out of his Skeeter. I'm not willing to ask him to use that. I personally have a brush sinking boat that has a designated livewell, but no aeration system. When I fish some weeknighters, I have to rig up a 12-volt aerator and even then, my livewell ain't going to hold over 10 lbs worth of fish. A single 8 lber can't stretch his legs out, so to speak, in my livewell. So I'm saying my boat is out. Are there companies, ie Nautical Mile, that furnish boats for use?

Again, I'm new and just inquiring. If there's a few threads where this topic has been discussed, point me in the right direction.

I hope Malakoff gets a team going again. They had a small team a few years ago.

As far as the equipment issue for the students, there are always good folks getting on here wanting to donate fishing tackle to high school teams. You just need to keep a look out for those posts. As far as the boat issue, boat dealers do not furnish boats for high school fishing. Plus, there are insurance stipulations for the events as well, as listed in the rules.

If your looking for a great boat that won’t cost you an arm and leg shoot me a pm. I have a grand old Skeeter zx200c I’d let go of very reasonable to a guy like you. The motor has a warranty until February of 2020.
