I love me some beef jerky but the price of this stuff is getting to be about the same cost as saffron or gold.
They sure are proud of their product...and I can't get enough of it.
I really need to start making my own as I go through about 1lb a week if not more. AHAHAHAHAH
Right now my favorite is TEXAS SLABS followed closely by Duke's brand sausages.

Yeah I'll never pay $12 for a bag of jerky. It's completely ridiculous. I would definitely start making your own.
I have a buddy from work who makes jerky for a lot of people. Just bring him the meat and he handles it from there. Perfect road trip snack

I bring my dad deer meat every year and he makes jerky for me. I like venison a lot better than beef for jerky.

Buy you a dehydrator and start making your own. Way better than store bought and you control all that goes in it. Super easy to make. Dehydrators are very inexpensive too. Academy has several plus some starter packs to get rolling.

Academy has several plus some starter packs to get rolling. Agreed, been making my own for about a year now and I go through a lot. Every time Brookshires does a buy one get one for a penny on Roasts I stock up. I good butt roast will make about 2 weeks worth of Jerky for my house. The Jerky is a 2 day process though, leave it marinated in the fridge for at least 12 hours (the longer the better, too a certain point) and it typically takes 8 hours to dehydrate. I got the an Excalibur 5 tray dehydrator on sale off Walmart.com, I wish I had gone with the 8 tray though.

never was one for jerky. If I want a tough piece of meat to chew on I'll go to Dickeys fast food BBQ

just make your own I go to hersh's and get 4 lb sliced up just tell him you want jerky meat and make your own
I marinade in alegro half teriyaki other half smoke 2 hrs at 160 then dry to your liking at 100 degrees
Deer meat is the best
