1981 Yamaha 550 Maxim. Put over 50k miles on it before a Camaro took a left turn in front of me. I t-boned her, went over the car and wrapped the front end of my my bike around the engine.

'51 Ford, black and four door. My Grandfather died when I was 13 and he left it to me and my younger brother. Didn't have a drivers license but I did have a car. Had to sell the car to help out my parents before I ever had a chance to really drive it. Dad and I would take it out occasionally on the back county roads and he would let me get behind the wheel.

1981 Camaro Z28. Handed down from my mom. It was 2 yrs old when I got it. It was flat destroyed by 1986. I kinda ran from the Waco PD. Slipped off a retaining wall in Cameron Park. Cold wet Friday night. I was sent to live with a MCClennan Co Judge after that. Buddy deal. No record of the event exists on my part. I had a cool restriction on my license till I was 21....4cyl vehicle max. So I bought a Ford Escort GT. Traded it in on my 21st birthday on a 1989 Mustang 5.0 cp. that lasted a year. Then went to a Thunderbird SC. Then a Ford Lightning. Then a ZO6....then back to trucks and Jeeps.

I learned to drive and took my driving test in my Moms car, a 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne 4 door. 6 Cylinder with 3 on the tree. I drove it in high school some. It was black with typical wheel well rust from the salt they put on the roads for ice and snow. This image is a cleaner version of it. Then I bought my first very own car, a 1955 Chevy 3 speed on the floor, Gold color, 4 door. That car was made of real steel. I ended up smashing it into the back end of a 69 Ford Fairlane . By the way, no such thing as seat belts at that time. This is the only image I could find to represent my 55. Mine was in much better condition until I caved the grill into the radiator.

1964 corvair. Beige colored with a stark white passenger door. Clutch was out, back windshield had been Nocked out, paid $50 for it. Put clutch in and got rear glass at wrecking yard for 5 bucks. Drove it thru high school. The car was a tank and couldn’t be turned over chasing critters in the pasture.

Had saved 7k mowing lawns and working at McDonalds. Said, hey dad, let’s go looking at some Cameros He said nope, you are allowed to get a car from this insurance bracket Bought an ‘86 Mazda 323 for 4K. Had 3k left, so I got sweet rims, a CD player, ridiculous amplifier, fog lights, tinted the windows, and built a subwoofer in the back so there was no room left in the hatch
First year at UT, blew the pistons just north of Georgetown running to and from Austin averaging about 90—girlfriend still lived in Dallas. Car was never the same after that, but was able to get another four years selling it for $500 with no working speedometer and a mystery drive train problem.

‘69 VW Bug $300. Neon orange, 2-speed automatic stick. Because of the auto stick, could usually get between 3 - 5 stop/starts changing gears before passenger would suddenly do a double take and say (“WTH are you doing?!?!...Where’s the dam* clutch?!?!”)
That car was indestructible! Only things it ever needed was a new fuel filter (once), and a new fan belt (once). Was a blast to drive in the snow because all the weight was in the back. I was drifting long before drifting was ever a thing!

1975 442. I hauled hay all summer and paid my stepdad $1,700 for it to start my sophomore year. It was sweet, black with a gold rally strap down the center. Swivel seats, automatic, A/C and an 8 Track player. I pulled all the women in that bad boy. I had it 2 years then sold it to my lil brother for $1,500 and bought a 65 Chevy Stepside in 1981. I’ve had nothing but trucks since then.
